With fall leaves falling at the doorsteps, it's the best time of year to help encourage and teach our kids to love being outdoors. Even though my daughter is only 9 months old, we're already starting a few family traditions this year to help to teach her at a young age to love being outside.
Here are a few family friend activities to try:
1. The easiest and most fun way to get your kid's hands dirty is to have them build a big 'ole pile of leaves {and jump in them!}.
2. Plan an outdoor scavenger hunt. You can find a printable one online or make one of your own.
3. Make a fall bucket list together of things you all want to do before the season ends.
4. Sidewalk chalk is the easiest way to buy you hours of time with the kid's playing outside.
5. Picnic in the park seems like a very simple activity and that's because it is! But it's also much more fun than eating lunch at the table.
